Happy Halloween!

This Halloween we visited all of our Grandparent's houses, went trick or treating and had soup at Grandma Warner's house. Every year she is so sweet to make soup for all of her family, it gets everyone warm and full before going out in the cold to go trick or treating.
Drew was dressed up as a Seahawks football player, Katie as a Seahawks cheerleader, Markie as Darth Vader, Dallas as a Ninja and Rome as an Alligator. Ty dressed up as an old man, he looked so good and got a lot of laughs. He shaved the top part of his head to look like he was balding, shaved his goatee into an ugly mustache and was wearing his coveralls and his Dad's glasses. We had so much fun spending time with our families on Halloween!
The night before Halloween we went with Ty's family to the Orem Owlz Halloween party. They had a few games, snacks and prizes. They have a pumpkin carving contest that Ty's parents and siblings entered in, last year Gentry won! The last picture is displaying the proud winner claiming her prize! Way to go Jan!!!

p.s. Sienna, I need a better picture of the kids. That is the only one that turned out on my camera.

Pumpkin Carving

Last night we carved the pumpkins Grandma got for us at the pumpkin patch. Just as we expected the kids were really excited about carving their pumpkins and it kept their interest for a little while...but Ty and I did most of the work.:)

Family Home Evening

For FHE on Monday my Mom wanted to have everyone over and have the kids all tell a story from the scriptures and roast marshmallows to make s'mores. With some help they all told such cute little stories and all of the boys loved putting things in the fire, Katie was just scared of the fire.-She is scared of A LOT, she is definitely a girl!

The Pumpkin Patch

This year for preschool Drew got to go on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. He loved it and was so excited to take Kate so she could pick out her own pumpkin. Grandma called and wanted to go with the kids so we all went and had a blast. We could have stayed on the blowup toys the whole 3 hours we were there, but they loved seeing the animals and going through the maize and the "light show" too. Grandma let everyone pick out a pumpkin to take home. Katie picked up a few and kept saying too heavy until she found one small enough for her to lift and then she put it in the wagon. She is so proud of her pumpkin, of all the pumpkins grandma bought she hasn't forgotten which one was hers. (we kept them at grandma's house until we were ready to carve)

Quick 9 Month Catch Up!

*My handsome man decided to go back to school. He is currently a student at UVU and doing great!
*A great softball summer! Of the 4 teams Ty had this year I only got one picture. I've lost count of how many times they have been the champs but they had a great couple of seasons this summer/fall! I love watching the kids playing at the ballpark and making fun memories while daddy plays! I have fun memories from when I was a kid, making new friends and playing with everyone while my parents were playing volleyball. We always take their bikes to the ballpark, they ride around with their cousins and other children that are there. They also love to go out on the field and slap hands with our team after the games are over. If they are out running around because they don't know the game is almost over and they miss that part it is like the WORST THING EVER, we learned that the hard way and now give them plenty of notice that it is almost time for high fives!

*Stadium of Fire with Tracy, Rich, Markie, Dallas, Sienna, Roman, Grandma and Papa and our little family! The kids loved being there but didn't so much like the noise. I wish I would have taken earplugs for them. Hopefully I'll remember next time.

* LOTS of playing outside half naked. We got tan this summer!

*Katie got glasses! When we went to her 15 month check up the dr. put the light in her eyes and said that her eyes weren't reflecting back the way they should, so he referred us to a pediatric optometrist, when we went he said that she was farsighted-so much so that she couldn't see up close or far away. She is a +14 in one eye and a +11 in the other eye. They said it's hereditary so we should have Drew checked too. We scheduled Drew's appointment for a month out. When Katie got her glasses it took her a good 2-3 weeks to get used to wearing them. Part of the problem was that Drew was sooo jealous of her glasses, he was always ripping them off of her so he could wear them, he wanted them so bad all the time. I tried buying him a pair from the dollar store but those just wouldn't cut it. Finally Drew's appt. rolled around and go figure he needed them too, his eyes are both a +7.5. Which means he can see a little better than Kate can but his are still pretty bad. So, I did all that fighting with Drew about Katie's glasses for nothing. Too bad I didn't have their
1st eye appts. together. That would have saved me a lot of headache! Once Drew got his own glasses he wasn't quite as excited about wearing his own as he was about wearing Katie's. A few months down the road they are both wearing their glasses willingly most of the time! To this point Katie has broken her glasses once (she knows she is supposed to be gentle with them and likes to use that against me, when she is mad she rips them off her face and throws them) and Drew suprisingly takes really good care of his. His haven't broken yet. They say that both of their eyes will improve with time but since they are so bad at such a young age they will probably always need some sort of corrective lens or surgery. Kate got glasses at around 18 months Drew was a few months away from turning 4.

*Ty and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on June 5th and our 10th year of being "together" on July 1st! CRAZY! I can't believe it was 10 years ago when we finally decided we liked each other. (and that was after being really good friends since we were in 6th grade)
*Our little Princess Katie started Nursery! She did okay her first time there until she ate the crayons and choked on them, then they couldn't get her to stop crying so she came and joined us in Sunbeams. Nursery is still a battle that we fight every week. She loves talking about it during the week but when we actually get there her bottom lip comes out and she is not letting go of anyone that tries to put her down. It's sad, one day she'll be able to stay in there without one of us there... we hope!

*The moment I have waited for since finding out baby Dabling #2 was a girl, Katie's first ponytails! We are scraping for enough hair but were finally able to pull it into a ponytail. While she hates getting her hair done she loves it when it is done and is so proud to show it off to anyone who will look. Drew loves it when she has her hair done and is always so sweet to tell her how cute she looks! (without being prompted)

*Ty's flag football season:(once again, no picture) It was a pretty rough season but I think they still had fun. Ty sprained both of his ankles this season and still played every game. They played on Tues. nights and every Sunday he would tell me, "my ankle is feeling really good today I think it's better" Well after every game he was limping again and way swollen. This went on the whole season. Now he is finally walking normal again.
*Lots of playtime with Dad and huge forts.

*We spent a lot of our summer at swimming pools. This picture was taken at my amazing Aunt's house.

*We went camping a couple of times this summer once in Provo Canyon with Tracy's family and once in Spanish Fork canyon with Ty's whole family.

*Drew stared preschool! He was nervous to go, but his cousin Dallas is in his class so that helped get him there the first day and now he loves it! Katie is always so sad to drop him off, but so excited to pick him up! He is learning so much and can already write his name all by himself, the d r e are usually backwards but he's got the w down!

*Drew's new hobby is playing PS3. This is so not good. He is only 4 years old and he asks to play everyday. Katie loves to watch the Animal Alphabet. She asks to watch it at least 10 times a day, at least she picked something educational!

*We went to the State Fair this year with Ty's Family. We haven't ever been before and we loved it! The kids loved seeing the animals and riding on the pony and the rides.

*It's Football Season! The kids love getting dressed up every week to watch the game with Dad and Papa! When I put one of Katie's Seahawk shirts on her she knows without being told what it is and she always get a big smile and says Seahawk!

*Drew's 4th Birthday! I'll have to post pictures later, but he had a great time and was so happy to have all of his family here! Tyler got the moment he has been waiting for since he found out baby dabling # 1 was on the way. He has always dreamed of getting Drew a little car that he can drive around. Every Birthday, Christmas & Easter he bugs me about letting him get one for the kids. Well, finally Drew is old enough to be able to control one so we got him one. He loves it and does a really good job driving it. Not too many car accidents so far!

*I hope to do better with updating our blog more frequently. We'll see how I do!

12 Month Check Up

We had Katie's 12 month check up this week. Of course the shots weren't fun but she did pretty good. She is sooo tough!

weight: 18.89 lbs~16.28%tile
height: 29.5 in~ 65.33%tile
head circumference: 17.8 in~ 55.33%tile

It's so interesting to see the difference in her and Drew at the Doctor. Drew was/is CRAZY while waiting to get back to see the Doctor, wanting to be out in the hall, playing on the elevators or trying to hit the fish in the fish tank. But as soon as we get back into the room he is very calm, he will sit through the exam, let the doctor check him out... you know, eyes, ears, mouth, tummy, diaper area, all that stuff.
NOT KATIE! Exactly the opposite, she will sit on my lap just looking around watching people in the waiting room. As soon as we went back to the room she was all over the place, ripping the paper on the table to shreds, trying to turn off the computer, opening all the drawers she could reach. Then when the doctor came in and was trying to look her over she was sooo mad. She was batting at his hand if he touched her anywhere. It was so funny!
I love to see their different personalities! It's kind of weird that they are that way at the doctor. When were at home Katie is usually chill and Drew is a little more uptight.
They're crazy and I love every second of it!!!

I was surprised at how smooth everything went. We could even do it again. :) They all had so much fun!

Jesus wants Me for a SunBEAM

Drew graduated from Nursery to Sunbeams a couple of weeks ago. He is so proud to be a Sunbeam. He's told me at least once a day since entering sunbeams, "I'm a big boy now, I'm a Sunbeam!" His Sunbeam class has 7 kids in it, 6 of the 7 go to playgroup with him. The first time the group went to playgroup after entering Sunbeams the mom who had the kids at her house said that they were all talking about how big they were, they thought they were so cool because they were in the Sunbeam class. Ty and I also moved up from being their Nursery teachers to now their Sunbeam teachers. :) These first couple of weeks have been a little rough. It's normal for these guys to sit through all of sacrament meeting, but they usually get to go to Nursery right after and get all their wiggles out. Now they get to go to opening exercises and sharing time, where they sit some more. For these 7 three year olds its pretty difficult and they all try SO HARD to be "big". I'm sure it doesn't help that church is at 1:00 and that is most of their nap times. I love each and every one of these kids. I am so happy that I get to be their Sunbeam teacher. We are so lucky to have the opportunity to watch these beautiful children grow testimonies of their own as we teach them about the gospel.

Where's Katie?

She loves to play hide and seek. ALL DAY LONG! Now that I have most of her hiding spots down its okay, but when she first started hiding I really thought I had lost her a few times in our own house! She hides under any bed or blanket that she can find. She hides in closets, cupboards, under the table, behind the entertainment center, under the computer desk, really anywhere she can find.
Sometimes she hides in an obvious spots like this...
In these pictures I think she thought I couldn't see her, she was just standing there waiting for me to find her. I was laughing so hard that she finally looked around the railing to see what was so funny. Kids are the best, they really are so funny!

Striker

Drew and Katie's pet turtle died on Sunday he was their 1st pet. Katie doesn't notice that he is gone but Drew does. Ty explained to him that he went to live with Heavenly Father, after hearing that he simply said "okay". Now every time he walks by where the tank used to be he says, "Striker and Baloo are sick, they live with Heavenly Father now." Children are so tender, sweet, and innocent. I love them.

Christmas Morning...

This Christmas was especially fun, for one because it was Katie's first Christmas and two because Drew was SO excited! It was so fun to watch his excitement as he opened his presents and showed Katie how to open hers. He would get just as excited for her to have a new baby doll as he would for himself to have a new gun. Katie really enjoyed ripping off the wrapping paper, I didn't think she would want much to do with her toys with all the paper around. Boy was I wrong she loved her toys too!

They both got a piano so they could play together.

They also slept in until 10:30, we plan to enjoy that as long as we can!

These were the pictures on our Christmas cards that didn't make it out this year.

SORRY!

We love you all.
